Why do you need a DP unit?

If your home is located in a wind-borne debris region you must  have windows and doors with specific design pressure (DP) ratings. These ratings include both positive and negative numbers, for example + 60 & -60. The positive number corresponds to pressure created by wind blowing at your door from the exterior. The negative number represents the vacuum pressure created on the inside of your home. DP ratings vary upon your area and home so please be sure to check with your contractor or architect to ensure you get the proper rating for your entry unit.
